Multiple MJSA Players Sign ACAC Scholarships

Moose Jaw Soccer Association is delighted to announce that 7 club players have signed ACAC Scholarships.

Moose Jaw Soccer Association would like to congratulate Tata Mugisha, Rhylan Tremblay, Laura Korthuis, James Ruhiga, Mukire Kiroro and David Bayingana on signing for Portage College in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

"This is another major step for our direction as a club, last year we had a player signed to a university and a player signed to a professional academy, this year we're delighted to help 7 more athletes develop and take the step to play post secondary soccer in Alberta.

"We know as the soccer club for Moose Jaw that its our responsibility to help the athletes beyond just playing with us, we want to help players develop and be in a position to hopefully play post secondary soccer and maybe pick up a scholarship along the way for doing so.

"It was a chance encounter with Kika (Portage College Head Coach) for us to meet, however it was an important collaboration. Kika has put in the extra effort to help our players feel that they can be important pieces of the puzzle for the goals he has for the program in the ACAC. We're delighted that these athletes have all committed to joining him and Portage.

"Portage College is pleased to announce the signing of six soccer student-athletes from Moose Jaw Soccer Association, with another in the process of signing, for the coming fall season. The Portage College Voyageurs and Moose Jaw Soccer Association have formed an excellent partnership, with the Moose Jaw Soccer hosting an Identification Camp for prospective athletes in March of this year. Portage College appreciates the collaboration and is excited to offer an opportunity to talented and deserving student-athletes coming out of Moose Jaw Soccer Association." - Kika Mukuninwa - Portage Head Coach.

Moose Jaw Soccer Association would like to congratulate Felix Danquah, from Swift Current, who has played with the Moose Jaw FC program for the last few years on signing with Medicine Hat College.
